Discreet Engraving

Commissions

What we are asked for.

A description of the kinds of work that come through the door, written without naming a single client or showing a single commissioned piece.

The recurring commissions

How a finished commission arrives.

A plain card box, a narrow ribbon, no printing of any kind. The courier docket carries the minimum description the law requires and nothing that identifies the trade or the contents.

Documentation, including the condition report, the drawing and any proofs, travels separately and by a route the client specifies.

If the piece is a gift and its arrival must not be noticed, say so in the enquiry. We will schedule delivery around it.

What makes a good enquiry

Work begins with a conversation.

The studio takes a limited number of commissions each quarter. Enquiries are read by the engraver, not by an assistant.
