Silver keywork, mouthpieces and fittings on instruments that are worked every day.

Instruments are tools before they are objects. Anything cut into a flute, a horn or a bow frog must survive daily handling, hand acids and regular cleaning, and it must not change how the instrument feels in the hand.

Keywork is thin. Depth is kept well inside the wall thickness and confirmed against the maker's specification before cutting, and we will decline placements that put a cut over a solder joint or a pivot.

Bow frogs, ferrules and mounts in silver, gold and ebony are handled as heirloom work: the instrument is usually a professional's livelihood and irreplaceable at any price.
